Corren has received ten patents in kinetic hydropower and electronics. Stephen Luckett is responsible for project management for renewable energy research, demonstration, and devel- opment initiatives in the renewable technologies division at Hawaiian Electric. His responsibili- ties include managing relations with the Electric Power Research Institute, Hawaiian Electrics Sun Power for Schools program, and the Public Utilities Commission. He also manages federal reporting on renewable energy proj- ects and portfolios and leads company research into renewable and electro- power technologies. Luckett holds a bachelor of science degree in marine engineering from California Maritime Academy and pre-engineering studies at San Diego City College. He also holds a United States Coast Guard ird Assistant Engineer License. Jarlath McEntee , ORPCs vice president of engineering and chief technology ocer, is a specialist in dynamics, thermo- dynamics, and uid mechanics, and he drives the development of ORPCs proprietary hydrokinetic energy technology. He earned his bachelor of science degree in engineering at University College in Dublin, Ireland in 1986, and his master of science at Dartmouth College in 1989. He came to ORPC after spending more than 20 years in engineering and project management, hav- ing developed technical expertise in tidal power turbines; combined heat and power systems; Stirling engine and refrigeration systems; control system design and analysis; micro-mechanical structures; and marine engineering systems. Neil Neroutsos has more than 20 years of experience in com- munications and marketing in the public and non-prot sectors. He serves as the chief spokesperson for Snohomish County Public Utility District, north of Seattle, WA. In that role, he has handled a broad range of issues, from green energy and conservation to emergency response and corporate corruption in the energy mar- ket. He has researched and written about a broad range of subjects, including water, energy, science, and technology. Michael C. Reed serves as the program manager and chief engineer for the United States Department of Energys Water Power Program, within the Wind and Water Power Technologies Oce. He is responsible for managing the departments research, development, test, and evaluation eorts for both marine and hydrokinetic, and hydropower technolo- gies. He holds a bachelor of science degree in marine engineering from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and master of science degree in environmen- tal science from Johns Hopkins University. In his previous roles with the United States Navy and engineering consulting rms, he focused on the development of advanced marine power and propulsion systems. Arthur Seki has 36 years of expe- rience in renewable energy, including 14 years at the University of Hawaiis Hawaii Natural Energy Institute and 22 years at Hawaiian Electric. He has conducted research, development, and demonstra- tion projects related to biomass; geothermal; solar; wind; hydroelectric; ocean energy; hydrogen; and fuel cells. As director of renewable technology, Seki continues to monitor renewable energy projects; evalu- ate, assess, or participate in studies related to renewable resources and technologies; and develop and install renewable demonstration projects. He holds a master of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Hawaii and a bachelor of science in chemical engineering from Arizona State University. Bill Staby is founder and CEO of Boston-based Resolute Marine Energy, Inc. which, since 2007, has been develop- ing technologies that harvest energy from ocean waves. He is chair- man of the United States delegation to IEC TC-114 and a U.S. representative to the IEC Conformity Assessment Board Working Group 15. He is an active member of the Ocean Renewable Energy Coalition and a member of the Technical Advisory Board of the University of North Carolina-Coastal Studies Institute.
