January 2013 www.sname.org/sname/mt Anders K. K. Attramadal was edu-cated at Norwegian Institute of Technology and Science, earning a master of science degree in industrial design and cybernetics. He was employed in his own company until joining Statoil in 2008, where he has worked as a subsea engineer; as a project leader of subsea modications; and in strategy and business administration as management assistant for procurement and drilling & well. Attramadal currently is MODU new built support manager, respon- sible for the project portfolio management oce covering personnel, key competence networks, and stakeholder management. Jan Fredrik Hansen joined ABB Marine in 1999 as project engineer, working with vari- ous delivery and research projects on the topic of electric propulsion. From 2002 to 2008, he worked as technical sales advisor, focusing mainly on liqueed natural gas carriers. Currently he holds the position of technology manager in the segment of oil and gas-related vessels within the marine group of ABB. He also holds a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineer- ing from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. Martin John Hartland is a British marine engineer and is cur- rently working for Fugro (USA) Geotechnical Division. On behalf of Fugro (Norway), he has managed the newbuilding and con- version of eight oshore vessels since 2005 and is specialized in seismic and ROV/construction vessels, their equip- ment, and operations. Hartland began his marine engineering career in 1980 with a civilian technician apprenticeship in a naval shipyard in the United Kingdom and he has gained 20 years sea time as an engi- neer and onshore as a project manager. He holds a masters degree in business management from ESCP (Paris). Erlend Hovland holds a posi- tion with Statoil, in Houston, Texas, as principal engi- neer?marine concepts and ship technology. His work includes concept development and evaluation of ships and oshore structures. Hovland holds a Ph.D. in o- shore technology from the University of Stavanger (2007) and a master of science in hydrodynamics from the Norwegian University of Technology and Science (2000). He has more than 10 years of experience in the design and operation of oshore installations and ships. (feature contributors)
